MG MGB GT V8 Factory Originals Technical - MG 2003 Special Guest Ken Costello

Anyone planning to attend MG 2003?
Jim Miller

Yes, Jim...Jean and I will be in attendance. I believe that Ian Pender will be there...I've been in contact with Mike Satur, who expressed interest. I haven't heard from Ken Costello for a couple of months, but believe that he is still planning on coming. Looking forward to seeing you again! I have some more questions for you about your BEAUTIFUL conversion.

Rick: Will arrive in St. Louis Friday afternoon. Will see you there. Traveling with several 4cly MG friends from the area.

You may be thinking of a different person, my conversion is very basic.

Rick & Jim,
I'm planning on arriving on Thursday. I invited the Canadian a while back but didn't get a response, co-pilot's seat is still open.

Jim...I liked your conversion....i fact, when you drove into the parking lot in Townsend, I actually thought it was the fresh Ted Lathrop conversion of Eric Kent (Schoolcraft, MI)....As I am also retaining the rubber bumpers (74.5 MGB/GT) I have some questions for you (didn't get to talk to you much in Tennessee.)

Steve...The Merry Canadian SHOULD be coming with you! But, his wedding anniversary is the following week...and Jeannie probably has him on a short leash right now.

Later!

Rick, I saw Robin the other night and he said he hasn't heard from Ken either. He told me that that wasn't unusual for Ken and not to worry about it (like there is anything we could do about it anyway!)

Hopefully, both Ken and Mike will be there as well as a bunch of beautiful V8's. In fact, one of my favorite V8's is coming in from California.

Robert,

Who is comming from California ?

Rick,

We're all on short a leash ! So whats new ?

It's Robert & Sue Milner. They have this very nice BRG GT V8. Probably what makes it so nice is that it is so clean despite how much they drive it. He and his daughter are driving it all the way to St Louis THEN running the endurance rally. His wife will fly in that evening.

I want to say that it won 1st or 2nd at MG 2001 for V8's, but I'm not for sure.

The Milner's also participated in the Endurance Challenge for MG 2001 - in Minnesota - with their California MGB GT V8 - and did quite well, if memory serves me correct.

Yeah, they won!

How did I do? Dropped out a third of the way through because I got some bad gas which caused my carbs to keep getting jammed open and flooding out.

Damn small town Wisconsin gas!

I just got a confirmation e-mail from Ken Costello and he will be in attendance for MG 2003!

Come and meet the Father of MGB V8's!

The MGC is packed; we will be off for St.Louis/MG 2003 in about 20 minutes....should arrive by 3:30pm...reports to follow!
