Comments? Love the interior. (sarcasm)

So, with the 650 "Elder Brock" carb, tiny little air cleaner, all it needs is an ignitor in the tailpipe and I'd say we have an afterburner!

Please tell me those door panels really look like that or do I need a new video card?
Simon Austin

I think the look of the door panels is the way the flash on a digital camera reflects off the fabric. I assume the fabric is one color.
This isn't a thread for "concours purists" but there already are so few C's that are left that he should have used a B for his conversion.
With that said I am looking for an A that I wouldn't feel too guilty putting a V8 in. Any out there ?

R.J,

I have one. Go to www.mgaguru.com/mgtech/power/pp501.htm

Yeah but Lyle, would you do the same conversion today, or would you have qualms about doing that to a stock MGA?

I'd thought about it and couldn't bring myself to do it today (which is why I probably jumped at the Jamaican MGA so I can 'play' without guilt)
Bill Spohn

Dont know about the A but I love that MGC. That guy did alot of work on that car.

"VEHICLE CONDITION THE CAR IS IN FANTASTIC CONDITION. WITH A CONVERTABLE TOP AVAILABLE FROM AFTERMARKET DEALERS IN SOFT OR HARD TOP"

That should be an interesting top application with no vent wings or side windows....plenty of air circulation in there.....having said that, I like the car...with the exception of the interior...
Mjke Maloney

Horrible. Just horrible.
Rob Edwards

I like it and the Buick 300 engine is somewhat unique.
Michael S. Domanowski

Michael Moor and Jim Stuart both have Buick 300 conversions.

At least it's not another boring copy-cat car!!!

Buick 300 and Ford rearend, yet he says "Chevy drivetrain"?

I hate the shifter and taillights, but the
dashboard is pretty cool and I like the removed door glass too.

Reupholstery wouldn't take much effort.
Curtis

Randy, I have a 215 A conversion as well. The purist A crowd will always frown on it. Mine was a 1500/solid wheel car with a locked engine and rough body that was destined for being parted out. It now has a 215/T5, B 3.91, dual circuit brake and looks completely stock from the outside, stock primer that is. It can and has been done but it's really a fabricators dream (or nightmare) whichever fits your ability.

Randy, there are A's out there which are in reality past the point of restoration, you should be able to find one. Wyatt might have one, and he's trying to clear out his goodies. http://www2.mgcars.org.uk/cgi-bin/gen5?runprog=mgbbs&mode=thread&access=&subject=70&source=T&thread=2005101901023522856

There's a very nice A V8 recently completed in St. Louis also, check out the site. http://www.themgdoc.com/mgav8.htm
