MG MGB GT V8 Factory Originals Technical - Plumbing in 4-pot brakes

Hi all
I have a set of 4-pot calipers from an SD1 which will be used with peuguot 505 turbo discs. The calipers are the twin feed ones. I have the rover tee piece and distribution valve as well. What is the best way to plumb the calipers into the MGB (servo assisted) system?
Thanks
Nick

Nick,

I dumped the balance valve, and coupled the twin lines on the calipers, to turn it into a single line system...there is precious little room for one flexible pipe behind the wheels on mine, never mind two.

I could (possibly) do pics if you need them.

Mike B,
I would like to see pictures if possible please. I have acquired a pair of Princess/Ambassador 4-pot calipers with twin feeds. Can you explain in words how you did the twinning, or will the pics make everything clear?

Nick, If you want a picture of the plumbing to convert your twin feed calipers to single feed, please email. The picture is of my Princess calipers, but they are the same design as SD1 4-pot calipers (I have a set of them as well). If anyone wants to buy my spare SD1 4-pot calipers, drop me an email.
Mike, I've emailed you the picture you wanted.

Hi Peter, Happy new year.....nice to cross paths again.....when will that car
of yours be coming up here ?

Any pics at all appreciated! I also need to know which wheeels will fit over the brakes before I make an expensive mistake. I have a set of chrome rostyles (which I assume will not fit) and also a set of jubilee/v8 wheels which need refurbishing. Do any of the minilight 14'' copies fit, or do I have to invest in 15'' wheels and tyres?

Pete,

Many thanks for the picture - just what I wanted. I have e-mailed a thank you privately.

Nick,

I tried LE wheels at first, they need at least 1/2" spacers.

I had to go to 15" Minotaurs to clear the bleed screws on the calipers, ( mine are Vitesse calipers , but I assume they are all the same).

Minotaurs have a big offset, and you will probably have to grind off some of he lip on the rear arches, and possibly flare them out slightly, to prevent rubbing when the car is heavily laden or cornering hard.
