MG MGB GT V8 Factory Originals Technical - Rover inlet manifold question

My Rover V8 has an induction system copied from the factory V8 with a Clive Wheatley plenum chamber. I am getting different coloured deposits on the spark plugs which tends to incicate that one carburettor is richer than the other. The car was initially set up on a dyno to get the needles right and the overall mixture correct. The plug colours tend to indicate that one carburettor may be slightly richer than the other.
To help me work this out can someone tell me which side of the inlet manifold feeds which cylinders?? If I had a spare manifold I could work it out, but I don't so can you help please?
Ian Buckley

Steve, the port side of the manifold feeds cyls. 2358 & the starboard side feeds cyls 1267. BaRRIE. E

Thanks, I assume you mean 2358 and 1467 (you had a 2 instead of 4??)

Barrie,
I understand that you have some hands on experience with the dello subra gearbox set up. I remember reading that he (Dello) uses Falcon? cluch components. It would be nice to know exactly what these were for replacement (or even initail purchase) purposes, rather than having to go back to Jeff every time. Do you have further details. Specifically which pressure plate and which cluch mechanism(the bit with the spring (spring plate?), not sure what its called) Model year ect.
Which Master/slave system is usable (light to use). I was even thinking about using a brake power assist booster as the one example I've tried of the Dellow cluch set up was very heavy and would be no fun at all in peakhour. I'm not even considering Auto gearboxs because I get a childish glee from working the gearbox Brrrm Brrrm.
(Sorry to hijacking your thread Ian but your question seemed answered)
Peter

Peter, what can I say? Melbourne hijacked our Grand Prix. It must be contagious!!

Peter, the clutch is very heavy to use ,but with a V8 you don't have to use it much! The driven plate & slave cylinder (Toyota Celica) were supplied by Dellow. The pressure plate was a Ford Falcon recon. unit. I didn't have an exchange unit ,so I paid a bit more or forfeited the normal deposit. It cost about $45 ten years ago. The pressure plate out of a P76 looked exactly the same but was $150 at the time. I suggest you start another thread or email me direct for any further questions. I'm quite happy to oblige.
