It's OK. I don't like the color, the wheels, or especially the fact that they've yanked the bumpers without going to a fuel cell setup ... seems to me that any car with the tank aft of the rear axle, and no bumper, is just a disaster waiting to happen, no? (I mean, think about it ... the tank goes right back to the rearmost sheetmetal ... one love tap from an SUV and it's really going to ruin your day ...) I am really curious about the BMW gearbox -- how on earth one connects such a thing to the back of a Rover V8 is quite beyond me! But it sounds very fast indeed. (Hey guys, let's not be so quick to bin those good old Smiths gauges -- seems like everyone's putting in those Autometer units and that seems a pity as the Smiths units are so great-looking!)
Ted

Ted,
I agree that there is not a lot between you and eternity in a rear-end shunt in that car, but a chrome car 'ain't much better with bumpers in place.
David

David, it is if you scare up a rear bumper bracket from a '74 CB ... it's extremely strong and really protects against just this sort of "annoyance" ...
Ted

Ted,
That's a good idea. I just sent a '74 GT to it's final resting place at a friends shop in N.C. I'll repossess the bumper bracket. I got popped pretty hard in the rear a while back in my '66 and need to replace the brackets anyway.

That's the best looking hood scoop I've seen. Yikes, the color though!

Hey, Gerry...you need to buy it! When i had my Euro-spec 323i & my 524td, Tim did all the maintenance & repairs...check out this web site...don't know when he changed the scoop to what's shown on eBay....Tim's a great guy who's built several nice cars! Were I not so far into mine, I'd be interested!
