MG MGB GT V8 Factory Originals Technical - What's the deal with V6mgb.com?

I've been trying to register there for a week or two and keep getting the "Invalid_session" error.

If any of you go there, do you know of any problems that they're having? I figure the more resources, the better.

Thanks.

Glenn

I'm seriously thinking of doing a jap v6 and look every day or two, get into site without problems, try ;www.v6mgb.com/forum/index.php Heretic I may be , but more grunt, lighter engines, less fuel does'nt seem too stupid when you think about it.

Glenn,

It seems to be working fine for me, I usually visit there a couple of times a day and haven't noticed any issues lately. I'm already registered and I'm able to login without a problem. Try to send an email to v6mgb, he's the moderator. His email is in his user details on the website.

Russell, I tried that web address and continue to get the "Invalid_session" error.

Scott, I can get in and search, but I can't post anything. I e-mailed a couple of time via the "Contact" link, but haven't gotten a response.

What appears to be another good source, GMForums.com (they have a 60 degree V6 section), is no longer accepting AOL members because AOL considers them a spammer. I wrote to them after being unable to search the site ot post, and they responded with their explanations. I'm considering switching my ISP.

Thanks for the help.
Glenn

Glenn, I've had the same experience with the V6 site. I was able to post twice out of I don't know how many attempts. I finally just gave up on it. I can read it, but cannot post a response to assist anyone. I've finished my conversion and am sure I can answer some of the questions.

Glen, your problem could be AOL,John D. has problems too and is showing AOL for his email,
Russell

John D, did you use a T-5 with a HTOB?

Russell, I think you may be right about AOL being the problem.

Thanks.
Glenn

Russel,
There's been so many viruses running around on the web this week, it's shut down or caused problems like this with many sites. Keep trying.
Remember, the V8 started out as someones heretic idea too.

Hi,
I have totally given up on v6mgb . You are right , you can not post, I have tried it many times - no go.
Why do people waste everybody's time with these poorly maintained websites ? I registered twice, got 2 passwords etc. tried them all sorts of ways. The site is just a turd. Now that I have kicked the hell out of the hornet's nest we may get some results, or the site may just go away. Don't really care at this point, they have wasted enough of my time. Alan

Guys please accept my apologies, but I recently was promoted at work and have been searching for a new place to live. It wasn't until today that I had my new ISP hooked up. I think I have corrected the problem with the AOL users (could some please verify this for me?) I think I have also corrected a few other small bugs. I will also try to update the rest of the website this month. Again I am sorry I have neglected things for a while.

I once had problems getting into the site too, but found that i just needed to try a diferent way. I cant tell you what I did different, but keep trying guys, we would love to talk to you there.

I had similar problems - and with some other sites too. All solved when I switched to a newer browser.

I was able to register and post last night.

I'd like to be able to have Glenn instead of Guest as my user name - guess I pressed a button to cause that.
Glenn

Please do not dump on those who even make an attempt to document and/or organize this knowledge; they may just stop.
