MG MGB GT V8 Factory Originals Technical - Wheel studs

Where can I get longer wheel studs for front hubs?
I have just got a set of alloys!
thanks Dave...

I got longer studs for my MG hubs as a Toyota racing accessory. I got Morroso studs from Summit for my 8" Ford rear.

To Demon Tweeks, you have a range of wheels studs and nuts. I use Ford 12x1.5mm 1/2 longer at front and 12x1.5mm 1" longer at rear + 10mm spacer for recapture the thickness of drums. The wheels are Compomotive ML.

Provided the length of nut secured to the stud is equal to the diameter of the stud, your wheel is as secure as it can be. If that leaves a few empty threads on the nut - don't worry. ( I have to face up to the same issue when I fit SAAB alloys each Winter)

Hope that helps

Dave,

MGB wheel studs come in two different lengths, unfortunately I don't remember which is which but and good specialist will know. The difference is not great but it might be enough for you.
