MG MGB GT V8 Factory Originals Technical - Will it fit????

Is it true that a bellhousing off a 3.8 V6 buick will fit the Rover/Buick 215 V8 and the GM T-5 transmission??

The 3.8 bellhousing will take the T5, but I believe that the engine side of things changed at about the time the 225 (precursor to the 3.8) was sold to Jeep.

the 231 or 3.8 buick v6 has a different engine side pattern. the buick 198 v6 used a bellhousing identical to the buick 215.

OK, so the 196 v6 bellhousing will fit th 215 motor, will it fit the GM T-5 tranny?

sure if its drilled for a 4 speed, thats the same bolt pattern that the t5 uses, the gm t5 anyways. i actually have one of these bellhousings, its idenctical to a 3/4 speed buick 215 bellhousing.
