Do you have a US spec model? I do not have my diagrams to hand now, but pretty sure that the US models do not have the inline fuse that the UK models used. Everything comes off the fuse box.
Hal Adams

From memory, third fuse from the top powers the green wire circuit. The green wires come off the back side of the fuse box with power coming in from the front of the box.

i got the car, i think someone(more)? have butchered some wiring. US spec. it happened when the distributer cap and coil was changed. head lights and tail work fine. engine starts and runs fine.

RE HALLE

The UK 78 and on model has three green circuits and hence two in-line fuses plus the fusebox fuse.

The North American spec just has two green circuits and hence only one in-line fuse. However that just feeds the engine cooling fan, all the other fused ignition circuits are fed from the fuse in the fusebox, which has four fuses, and is the third one from the top, or the 2nd one from the bottom.

To paraphrase Mrs Beeton - "First find your fusebox".
The fusebox is on the inner wing just in front of the brake master, together with the two relays. If you still can't find it then you have problems.

As the distributor and coil are quite near the fusebox and relays it's quite possible some wires were dislodged when reaching down past it.

Paul - I don't want to confuse things, but aren't we talking about a l.h. drive car here?

Hi Earle,

The fuse box is on the right (passenger side) front fender. The fuse controlling your problem areas is the third one from the top. I have had problems similar to yours. The problem could either be the front connection to the fuse or the connection between the fuse and the ignition relay which should be slightly to the front of the box. Turn the ignition on, turn on a signal light you will be able to see and play with those connections. The light will start flashing when you make the right connection.

Hope this helps,

Ah yes ... (it's my age, you know).
