MG MGB Technical - Broken starter motor connector

Don't ask me how but the 3/8 inch female spade connector that connects one of the wires to my starter motor broke. I cannot find one of these in any auto parts store, hardware store, electrical supply, Victoria British or Moss Motors. I do not want to replacd the entire harness. Any suggestions?

Thanks
J Rosen

If you are writing of the push on connector which is attached to the wire and pushed onto the starter connection, I purchase them at Radio Shack, but almost any automotive mechanical shop should have them available. Do not remember it being 3/8" wide, but it has been some time since I had to replace one.

What year? I thought they were all standard size (1/4"?) except the rubber bumper ignition 'boost' contact which is smaller.

If it is in fact a 3/8, they are at the parts store, 'yellow' IE 10-12 ga size only, but you will have to look hard

Many cars have 3/8" Lucar push-on connectors at the starter or solenoid for main power feeds. Parts store ones if you can find them are usually awful.

Go to British Wire. or,

Moss, in the back of catalog, "wiring sundries"
#161-580 "socket, 35Amp";
161-540 "insulator"
Why Moss can't use correct numbers and terminology is beyond me, but that's the connector and the sleeve over it.

Thanks FRM

You translate British well.
