MG MGB Technical - Dinitrol ML

Has anyone any experience with using this, please? I have a small amount of rust that I cleaned up as best I could and then sprayed Dinitrol ML fram a can. But 2 days later it still hasn't dried. Is it supposed to stay in liquid form, like a sort of very thin grease? I had thought it would dry and am worried whether on vertical parts, it will eventuall run off. Think I should have just sprayed with Hammerite which is much thicker, etc but guess now its too late. Have I done something wrong?
Any help greatly appreciated - thanks

I'm confused. As mine is still runny, does that mean something is wrong?

I much prefer dinitrol to Waxoyl especially for inaccesible areas where Dinitrol will run and ensure coverage whilst Waxoyl could leave areas untreated.

Dinitrol will dry to being 'tacky' and is not supposed to dry completly as is is supposed to 'self heal' if the surface covering is broken.
The 'drying' time of Dinitrol or any other solvent based wax will be greated at this time of year so I would not be unduly alarmed as it will dry to being tacky eventually.

I have only used 3125 Dinitrol, I'm very impressed with it for the reasons noted above especially its greater creep distance where it gets into seams.

Thanks for yr help - Pleased all is well. It is almost completely clear so was worried it wasnt doing anything but I guess this is normal?

The Dinitrol that you have used is a cavity wax. That means that it is meant to be used in a closed box section. It will stay sticky and will get washed off exposed surfaces. You should use the Dinitrol underseal stuff, (can't remember the number) for exposed areas.

Is there a US equivelant to this? Dimitrol?

You may be able to get it in the US. Check out this thread I found on another site.
