MG MGB Technical - Fan Pulley Color

What is the correct color of the fan pulley on a '72 MGB? The previous owner had painted it green, the color of the car. Is it black, or unpainted like the spacer? I never really noticed what the proper color is on other cars.
Joe

Hi Joe,
For what it's worth, the pulley on my '73 is unpainted.

On my '71 (bought new, original owner), it was the same color
as the rest of the engine. In my case...red-maroon.

If you really want that authentic "factory look" - then close
your eyes and thickly apply the paint on willy-nilly with a
big brush.

Mine was half-painted with thick drips and runs and
dried bubbles with overpaint on the belt, itself.

Yellow or black, going by Clausager.
