MG MGB Technical - gt reaqr brake clyinder

Just bled the brakes on 1975 gt after replacing calipers and discovered hardly any fluid coming from left hand clyinder and none from the right. One of the pistons in the left hand clyinder is siezed so tried the remove it The brake pipe nut will turn but so is the copper pipe. How do I free it off (sprayed releasing fluid)? Ant ideas about lack of fluid from right clyinder?

Check the brake line going from side to side on the top of the rear axle. If the car has ever been transported on a rescue vehicle, there is a very good chance that a tie down strap was put over the rear axle to secure the vehicle to the bed of the vehicle, nearly always resulting in a crushed brake line. Best to replace both rear cylinders, the two hard lines and the rear flex line at the same time. Inexpensive and worth doing on a car that's over forty years old. RAY

Corrosion between the union and pipe will prevent these coming out without snapping the pipe. As RJM says, replacing both the cyl's and the pipework is easy enough and worth doing.
If you still want to remove the cyl only try this...
Remove the retaining C-clip that holds the cyl to the back plate.
Pull the cyl out until the locating pin is free from the back plate.
If you have enough pipe length to do the above the cyl should then simply rotate off the end of the pipe.

As others have said check for damaged pipes as the cause of the lack of fluid. If none found and you get plenty of fluid from the off-side front wheel, you probably have a collapsed rubber hose from the body to the rear axle.

Exactly what I have had to do in the past.
