MG MGB Technical - LE wheelnuts: alternative?

I'm able to buy a set of alloy wheels as fitted to the "limited" edition MGB's. Alas the vendor doesn't have the correct wheelnuts.

I'd like to now if there are wheelnuts from other cars that fit so I can try to find them on the scrapyard.

The wheels would be used as a cheap "slalom set" with used 185/65-14 tyres, in place of the standard chrome Rostyles with 165-14 tyres.

I do not think so. I have been searching for an alternative for about 2 years on and off with no luck. I did just recently come across a Lotus site which has some nuts that look like they may work but I do not have a LE one in hand to compare it with.
I cannot bring myself to paying almost $6 for a lug nut!!! The Lotus ones were more in the $3-4 range. still expensive.

Thanks Mike,

That way the lugnut's would equal the price of the wheels....

The ones I was looking at fit the Panasport and Cosmic brand of wheel. They have a 60 degree taper but still not sure if they will work. need to be 1/2"X20 Thread size.

Willem Speaking for this side of the pond, any large tire shop will have a selection of lug nuts that will work for you. Bring your wheel and tell them your thread size it should be a simple fittment. RIC

Thanks for the replies, I'm aware that they can be bought new, but I was looking for the dirt cheap, possibly free option. Please remember that the Dutch are very competitive with the Scots when it comes to frugalness. ;-)

I've decided not to buy the wheels and try to sell the MGB: http://www.prewarcar.com/postwarclassic/classifieds/ad42906-2.html

No buy the wheels keep the car. There is a 1980 LE roadster being broken in Ashford Kent, the would have the wheel nuts.
