MG MGB Technical - MGBGT 1977 Window Weather Seal

Could someone please tell me whether the rubber weather seal which bears on the outside of the wind up window glass is rivetted or glued on to the chrome door top finisher. My finisher has rivet holes only on the lower section where it is fixed to the door.
The exploded drawings in the Moss catalogue show rivets as the fixing medium.
Many thanks

Neither - they are clipped!

GT and roadster are different. I'm sure I remember drilling out the old rivets and using new when I replaced mine on the roadster, but the GT uses clips to attach the rubber seal to the bright strip that the roadster doean't have, and rivets to attach the bright strip to the door where the roadster one-piece rubber seal with metal insert attaches. Photo of GT attached.

Thanks Paul - your image is a bit fuzzy but I think I see the clip - maybe a combination of clips and contact adhesive would make sure of things.

Paul's got it Peter. You rivet the bright work and then slip the rubber in with the clips. Think the clips came with mine when I ordered it. Adhesive would probably work, but should not be necessary.

Thanks Bruce - now under control - I've ordered the clips.
