MG MGB Technical - Quarterlight seals to windscreen - MGB

I am fitting new quarterlight seals to the windscreen on an MGB.

The previous ones were all hard and deformed so they provide no useful information at all.

My question is, are the seals cut to the top of the windscreen or to the top of the quaterlight fram please? If you can reply with a decent picture of the top and the bottom it would help me considerably.

Thanks

Paul

I have many photos of my "B" windshield install, and I can show you what I did to mine....Whether it was correct , it's hard to say, but it looked and worked fine.
I can post one here.

One more:
Note, that after I mounted the windshield (PITA!), I trimmed to fit, and used "The Right Stuff" liquid rubber sealant, in areas that didn't look perfect...It becomes just like the rubber, so it all blended well.

Hi Ed

It suddenly occured to me that although I am fitting these seals to a customer's car, I am priviledged to have on my premises (albeit in my house garage) a mint 1980 MGB from another of my customers that I am storing for them.

Attached below is the mistake I made yesterday ...

And below this one is the correct, factory fitting!

Thanks Ed for your photos too.
