MG MGB Technical - tourist trophy exhaust

does anyone have experience with this specific exhaust system tourist trophy. I need a new exhaust but also have to get over a big bump at the end of my alley way and want to eliminate the center resonator. this system looks good but does it fit correctly? Is moss the only supplier?

next question: I can order with or without the polished stainless header +$75...the header cannot be ordered by itself.

I do not need the header so if someone wants ONLY the header (at cost) I can add it to my order.

thanks,

i have moss ss exhaust fitted ,standard bore with a bullit box in the middle ,the make is falcon its the nicest sound you can get ,grunty when your pulling away and near silent when cruising ,sounds like a v8.ive allso fitted the tubular headers ,worh every penny .don't forget to fit nordlock washers, you will not have any trouble thanks daz

part num fsmgbcbbomb you will find the single silencer very noisey, the middle bomb box sorts that problem out and will not catch speed humps etc as it only slightly wider than the exhaust pipe ,
daz

forgot to say the complete ss exhaust with vat is £143 and you can purchase the headers sperate

thanks daz, I'll look into the falcon and look at the middle box...part of the issue with mine now is that the person that welded the middle box on put it too far forward so that it is not fully tucked up behind the cross member and part of the front is actually under the cross member...so its not all the fault of the exhaust.

the tourist exhaust is a well made kit but it is very large bore so i would go for the headers as well to take full advantage of it
even though it is a single box system it is a lot larger rear box which tucks upwards so doesnt hang lower than a standard system.
the centre box is replaced by a joint pipe so if it ends up been too loud you could always put in a cherry bomb silencer to quieten it if needed.
its a lot better made than the falcon system (i have a falcon on mine by the way but would happyly change to a tourist one if i had to)

thanks for your comments Steve...the header is something to think about. I have a manifold that has been smoothed inside and jet hot coated so my plan was to use it. This is for my '74 with HIF-4 carbs that seem to be sensitive to heat...and they get very hot to the touch after driving so I thought the coated manifold would help here.

i noticed this system is only for chrome bumper models will it not fit a rubber bumper and if not why?
sorry if this is a really dum question/statement i just can work it out.

its to do with the angle of the back box been steeper and the tail pipe bent down so its level out of the back
