MG MGB Technical - Victoria British Stainess Brake Hoses?

I'd like to hear opinions of this product before I make a purchase. Pros, cons or comments appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Dan scroll down on this page to Dave Cuhna thread. We discussed this question quite thoroughly there. Mike

What is the brand of the hoses? Are they Goodridge?

So they are not compatible without modification?
Dan Hiltz

Dan, They fit the car fine, but the size of the base nut for the fittings is smaller than the original so your locking sleeve does not work. I took off the locking sleeves and used a lock washer under the nut. Since you have the brake line pipe above the locking nut, it would be fairly hard for the line to come apart. If you had a concern about it moving, you can also drill a small hole and put a safety wire on it.

I have not been able to run the car so can't say how they will work, but for the price, they are a good buy.

They are Goodrich hoses.

Bruce Cunha

I fitted the Goodrich ones last year and they seem fine. Last year I drove many kilometres across Australia with no problems. The lockwashers are convenient but not essential. Of course I will be watching them closely.
