MG MGB Technical - Website for Factory Suplied Hard Top Owners

Hello All:

I am finishing up a website for information on the factory supplied hard top and am interested to know if anyone has links or information that they feel might be helpful.

It will feature links to the parts suppliers and general information on restoration.

I decided to create a site after reading the archives and seeing many of us facing the same issues with seals and hardware needs.

feel free to post pictures here of your factory hard top project and I'll add them to the site - should be public within the next 2 weeks.

I'll also have a reference to the other style tops - so feel free to send info on the Snug Tops and so forth.

Best regards,

Jeff

Nice, I started to do this but other things came up. When I disassembled my works top, I took pictures of the pieces inside the fiberglass for future reference, though I doubt many people get into it that deep. I ended up making the 3 piece window brackets out of stainless steel as well, the OE ones were rusted beyond repair. I have also created 3D models of some of the easily fabricated brackets and such, they can be seen at the following addresses.
Good luck, can't way to see what you've come up with.

Hey Jake - can't wait to see your pictures. For some reason the links dont seem to take me to them.

I'll be happy to add your stuff to the site

Sorry, I forgot this forum doesn't do links really well, you have to copy the address and manually paste it into the browser.

Here is my current page with some hardtop pics, I have plenty more both in assembled and disassembled condition.

Thanks for those pics Jake - We are working on the page this week to finish things up. I'll add a link for your site.

Just the kind of stuff I think others would enjoy seeing

Jeff. My daughter's car has a factory hard top which she likes very well. But, it is getting time to do some repair work on the seals. I appreciate you taking the time to set up a website dealing with such things and look forward to reading it. Should you desire, I will provide a link from my website to yours when you have it established.
