MG MGF Technical - Abingdon Suspension Height
Is the Abingdon front suspension height "standard"? i.e. 368mm + or - 10mm from wheel logo centre to wheel arch. Thanks, Donald

Hi Donald, yes, the answer to your question is that the Abingdon used the standard 368mm ±10mm ride height setting as used by the contempory standard model MGFs.

Many thanks Rob for your quick response. On the same subject, I read somewhere that the measurement was ambient temperature dependent( the 368mm figure relating to 17C) and an adjustment of 0.6mm per 1C up or down as appropriate. I assume higher temperature means higher measurement. I couldn't find any reference to this "adjustment" in the workshop manual and would welcome any comments. Donald

Donald, yes, you're right: 0.4mm per degree - add this for every degree over 17C, or remove for every degree below. See http://www.mgf.ultimatemg.com/group2/suspension/lowering.htm for more :o)
