MG MGF Technical - At the 3rd stroke it will be .....
The hour hand on the clock in my 99 VVC does not change when the black button is depressed meaning that it's only accurate for 6 months of the year. The minute hand works fine. It's been like this for about 2 years and never really bothered me. Sadly the car came with the old 12 months warranty. Using this forum - is there anyone who has experienced a similar problem or got a fix ? How much is a replacement likely to cost ? I do have a small sundial installed on the bonnet (non-factory item) so as long as it is sunny I can keep track of the time ! |

Again, as many other threads I'm going to suggest Midland MGF www.midlandmgf.co.uk Loads of useful 2nd hand bits & pieces and very good value too. My clock was doing exactly the same thing, managed to self correct somehow. Like the idea of a sundial though. Tim |

Mine doesnt either. The way i found to get around this is to press the black button extremely hard almost to the point of breaking the glass then turn it, this works for mine :0) |

>I do have a small sundial installed on the bonnet So how does that work then?? u got a compass as wel to show when you're pointing north.. in any case the sundial would only display GMT so it's as good as the clock!! LMAO |
Ewan Ramage |
The sundial would show accurate time for the position you are at - GMT will only be accurate on the 0 degrees (or whatever it is) meridien line whilst go 200 miles west to Wales and GMT is no longer correct:-) Ted |

Ted I hope you continue posting after you retire. You are the voice of thought. |

OK Ted (smart ar*e), At what speed would you have to drive and in which direction to make the sundial lose the same amount of time as JV's clock.... Will |
