MG MGF Technical - Bad vibration at speed.
Not sure if anyone can help; I have a P reg MGF (VVC), overall I am very happy with its driveability, however one annoying aspect when accelerating/deccelerating between certain speeds (90-94 mph) the car feels as if its going to shake its-self apart, but between 95 and 110 its fine, any suggestions (apart from staying below 90 mph).

Is the shaking felt through the car or the steering? Could just be a wheel out of balance, probably worth getting the 4 wheel alignment checked at the same time.

Mike thanks. The vibration is felt throughout the car, (not the steering). I had the wheel alignment checked and re-set a few weeks ago; I guess the next thing will be to rebalance the wheels.

Les I think you may have lost a weight from a wheel. Same happened to me. Had all four wheels balanced, problem solved. Good to hear that I am not the only VVC owner who does 110 mph on occassion. Tony

Tony. Thanks, I thought as much; oh well back to the garage again.

Try checking the rear wheel balance first as this is the one you can feel through your bum rather than the steering.
