MG MGF Technical - Boot Lid

Hi Chaps,

When I locked the keys in my boot (oops..) the nice AA man managed to open the boot using the AA's effective entry guide..

However the process has made the boot lid look slightly warped .. Does anyone know how much a replacement boot lid would be?

Any help is as always greatly appreciated.

Speak to Victoria at the MGF Centre (linked from this forum), i'm sure you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Or if you fancy an upgrade to a TF bootlid there are some going spare at Tech-speed - not as cheap as a 2nd hand F lid, but another option for you.

Is it the lid buckled or just the hinges need resetting?

From what I heard this guide doesn't lead to damages .... if right done.

See what Ted asked and may be you can work it out without having a new. The hinge adjustment isn't that difficult.

Thanks for all the advice chaps.. You may be right Ted it may just need adjusting .. When the AA chap tried the EE method there was too much stuff in my boot to see the release cable properly so in the end he managed to get to one of the bolts on the hinge end ..

So the hinges might not be adjusted correctly...
