MG MGF Technical - Brake Discs

I need to replace the 285mm dia front brake discs on my MGF. Does anybody know of a manufacturer (not a supplier) that can make them for me.
Thanks

No, I can't help you but ... just for my interest, why do you want to get some made? I guess it is a performance issue? But the cost will probably be very high compaed with the cost of standard sizes, either oem or pattern, or other after market manufacturers/suppliers.

285 Tony? Standard discs are usually 240 or 304mm, so I presume that you are using an aftermarket 'big brake' conversion?

I know that Mike Satur (http://www.mikesatur.co.uk/) has a kit along these lines (280mm), so he could be a good first port of call when looking for replacements. See http://www.mikesatur.co.uk/fx07.html for his price list.

Oops, sorry Tony, I didn't read that you wanted a manufacturer.

Manufacturers to contact will depend on the specification that you are looking for. You could try AP Racing for a high end solution. Wilwood would be another alternative. You could also ask HiSpec - although their reputation on the internet is pretty poor, unfortunately - but I know of a number of happy customers.

Other alternatives include EBC, Black Diamond etc for the cheaper end of the market. Another alternative for 280mm discs is to buy a set of VAG discs and have the MGF PCD drilled into them...

Like John, I am interested to know why you're after a manufacturer?
Rob Bell

Rob, thanks for the reply. Yup I've got HiSpec brakes and they can no longer supply replacement discs. Hence the query

You could also try Galfer. Beverley at Leda Suspension is the UK distributor for them.

Tony, are you also using the HiSpec calipers? Are the offset for the HiSpec discs the same as the standard MGF items?
Rob Bell

Rob, I'm not sure. The disc is 20.6mm (now) thick with a height of 51mm so the offset is about 30mm. The PCD of the holes is 95mm and the hub dia is 56.5mm
