MG MGF Technical - clicking after reversing

Hope I can explain this correctly, after reversing, usually out of my garage, when I then select 1st gear and move forward the is a clicking type of noise for a second from the gearbox, it is almost like the gear change had not completed properly.

As I said it only happens initially as I move forward and then is gone and all is fine.

The car is a 2003 TF 135 and goes in for its 1 year service next week. It would be nice if I could sound vaguely like I know what I'm talking about.

Do any of you have any ideas.

Regards

Steve.

A single clunk is normal, not sure about multiple clicks.

Just say : it's making this noise, and I know it's not normal because I travalled in a few other F/TF's and none of them do it.

Steven,

Do you have Sportspack 2 on your 135?

If so it may be something as simple as the broke brake pads moving very slightly due to the opposite direction of travel. More of a light clunking sound though.
