MG MGF Technical - Dark side here I come ! (and some advice)

Hi All,

Well, I've now had my '99 F for aout 18 months now and the dark side has finally got me, well, taken a hold.

I did the nice stainless steel grill upgrade about 6 months ago and really like the new look. However, I've deceied it's not enough - and have ordered the K&N 57i induction kit from a Melbourne based MG suppier (Link Automotive located in Mitcham). By the way, any Aussie MG owers might want to give thee guys a call for performance mods. Really nice people and great prices too.

Anyway, I digress. I'm not what you would call mechanically minded when it comes to cars and was hoping to be pointed in the right direction for the best on-line set of instructions for the fit. Something with lots of nice pictures and tips to help me through the process.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Many thanks.

Cheers

Rob, 2:20 in the morning?? Urgh!

Sonny - I'll stop going on about is as everyone must be sick of me, but I'll say it one more time. With Rob's instructions fitting the K&N is easy, even if you've never done anything like that before. Believe me the K&N is worth the money, you won't regret it!

Emma [also affected by the Darkside - is there any known treatment?]

Emma, 2.20... don't ask...

As for effective therapies for the Darkside... err... A radical wallet-ectomy perhaps - but I am sorry, it is a progressive disease, but at least it keeps a huge grin on your face! ;o) :o)

Fit it yourself Sonny. It really is easy and gives more satisfaction once the job is done.
Erik

Thanks for the advice all.

Decided to get my boss from work to help me out. He loves to tinker with cars and I've offered him a few steaks off the BBQ and some clensing ales to smmoth the day over.

I'd like to give it a go myself but the mechanics of a car are truely a learning experience for me - and I'd hate to screw something up.

I'm expecting my kit here in a few weeks. Very excited.

I'll let you all know how it goes.

Cheers

Nice one Sonny - and very civilised to have an excuse for a BBQ! :o)

When I did mine, it was in a pub car park with Scarlet Fever's able assistance :oD
