MG MGF Technical - engine oil

going to change oil and filter tommorow any recomendations on best oil thanks.

I always use Castrol RS 0W/40, or Castrol Edge as it's now known. A bit pricey but worth it in my opinion.

I use Mobil Synth S 10/40, a synthetic oil is a must on these engines.
Andrew Regens

Either produce very good road oils, Mobils additive pack is very sophisticated. If you need to up the anti an ester based oil may be more appropriate.
Paul

thanks for the comments

Either Magnatec or Mobile One :o)
Rob Bell

I have always used magnatec in all of my cars old and new and its always been good to me!!! Have used other brands on a tuned XR2i CVH and it BOILED the oil after a short track run at Coombe, it boiled shut the lifters and made a god-almighty racket, came off track thinkin i had broken the missus car, got the CCConversions boys to have a look and they found the oil boiling!!!!

Stick to the decent stuff!!! Might cost more but worth it!!
