MG MGF Technical - Help Lopsided car

Hi
I have a 98 MPI with standard wheels. Having looked in the archives for help i could n't really see the info I required. My F is pulling to the left not excessively but tends to pull more when I Brake. There is some tyre were on the outer edge of the front passenger side wheel.I have measured from the hub in the centre of the wheel to the wheel Arch these are my findings front Left 350mm back left 350mm front right 340 mm Back right 340 mm these meassurements were taken whilst the car was cold.
I have yet to check the tyre pressures I do have on the front 205/50 R15 and 185/55 R15 on the back.
I will be taking the car in for 4 wheel tracking I believe from the archives the front should be Toe-in 5 mins each whatever that means ?
Any advice please on the settings for the ride hieght tyre pressures and the tracking would be greatly appreciated ?
Thanks Steve

Ride height should be 368 +/- 10mm measured at the front wheels only from the centre of the hub to the underside of the wheel arch.

Suspension is interlinked front to rear so you only need to measure the front - both sides should be set equal.

In your case the car sounds low, minimum measurement should be 358mm

Hope this helps.

I agree with Andy - you've highlighted some potential problem areas Steve, that you need to get corrected.

Get the ride height sorted - and once that has settled, get the tracking reset.

Tyre pressures, BTW should be 26 front and 28psi rear.

That should sort your handling problems out nicely :o)

But on the plus side, your car is equally lower on front&back on one side so it's probebly just a quick pump they need. Lots of back street garages with hyrdagas pumps gathering dust as the only other cars they were used on were metros.

Thanks Guys
for all the sound advice I really appreciate it. I have only had the f for about 5 weeks its my pride and joy and i still cant take the smile off my face when I am in her.
Thanks again

Steve,

Your 185s should be on the FRONT and your 205s should be on the BACK
