MG MGF Technical - How long does it take a garage to fit a manifold..
...or; are there any single men out there wishing to share a life with my MGF. No, seriously, I was charged for 3 hours labour fitting a new manifold on my MGF. With a total cost of £491 do I now need to seriously consider investing in a reliable and believable garage or a new husband? Any suggestions for garages close to Luton, Beds? Car sounds great, though..

Do you mean the inlet manifold or the exhaust manifold? Either way 3 hours is not too far out, but you could obviously save money by getting a new husband. :)

There is quite a bit of time involved in fitting either and exhaust or inlet manifold to the MGF or TF... You have not been overcharged and I guess you won't need a new husband.. :-) Mark.

Janine an MGF is like having a husband..its always breaking down, requires your upmost attention and the occasional fiddle to keep it happy! To answer your question - 3hrs labour is about right. How much did they charge for labour per hour? Merry Christmas from Australia!

> but you could obviously save money by getting a new husband. :) Don't get a new husband to fit the parts, just get the old one driving it more and split the costs with him.
