MG MGF Technical - Inlet Manifold problems
I have stripped out all the ancillary parts and disconnect all leads etc. I have removed the five bolts from the inlet Manifold on my MGF VVC but still cannot lift the Inlet manifold. Am I missing something as I do not want to put a great deal of force on the manifold? Regards Stuart

The Rimmer Bros. EPC says that there are 7 Bolts. Geoff F.

Ok the MGF manual says five but guessing there is two under the manifold will take a look. Thanks for the assistance. Regards Stuart

OK. The manifold (lower) to the block is 7 but if you are talking upper manifold to lower, then it is 5. Geoff F.

Thanks Geoff it is the upper manifold I am trying to remove and have got all five bolts out but cannot move it I suspect it is just stuck together with the gasket. any ideas how to break this without damaging the casting. Regards Stuart

Just lever it up with a stout screwdriver between the VVC actuator casting and the top of the manifold, the casting is pretty tough. Dave
