MG MGF Technical - just to clarify something I may have asked before.

Just to check on a quick point... if MGR pumped my hydragas up at the last service (which they did) should they have advised me to get the alignment checked as well? I say this as they didn't and I didn't know at the time and now I've got uneven tyre wear...
Chris Tromans

Yes they should. Been there, done that...
Tim Jenner

Forgot to say, if you get it done make sure you get 4 wheel alignment not just the fronts and set to the BBS settings (parallel front, 10 minutes toe in at the back from memory). I had mine set to the MGR settings and it ate my tyres in very short order indeed!!

Cheers,
Tim.
Tim Jenner

Cheers Tim... I'm just lining up my ammunition because its going to need doing again after they've sorted the "mot failure" steering problem out...

Cheers

Chris

Might be worth trying to get them to at least contribute towards a set of new tyres, too?

Tim.
PS. Did you ever get to the bottom of your creaking dash?
Tim Jenner

You're having a laugh mate :-) ... my dash still rattles like a bugger on the right hand side... I've tried a lot of things apart from taking the whole dash out... which will eventually be done... :-)
Chris Tromans

>> should they have advised me to get the alignment checked as well? <<

Yes, they ought to have - as Tim says. Unfortunately, not every service department is as knowledgable or attentive to detail as perhaps they ought to be... :o(
