Andy - you are still shouting!

Yes this is normal with the MGF - have a look in the archives for various aids.
Ted Newman

Put the remote on the side of your head or touching your chin before pressing lock/unlock!!!.

This will double the range of your remote!!!.....

Turns your body into a big ariel!!........I kid you not!.
Mark.L

Mark - Non-damaging I hope! Not sure about those radio waves going through my head, not that it would make a lot of difference!

No problem. Just hold it to under chin, looks like you could be scratching yourself. If you hold it to your forehead you look a bit of a dipstick.

This was shown on Top Gear a couple of years ago - nobody explained why but defo works.

As does uncoiling the aerial wire behind the left foot well panel and gaffer taping it extended towards the front of the car.

Would that make you a fob-head?? heh heh sorry couldn't resist!

I've not heard of that trick before, I shall try it!

The 'trick' has been known on these boards for ten years to my knowledge - so why don't you try it before you poo poo it!

Many of us find it works so why do you feel that we are imagining it?
Ted Newman

Andy!.

Teds Right!.

The remote distance of our fobs is pretty Cr*p, With mine I would have to nearly shove the remote into the wheel arch liner to get it to work!!.

Sticking it under my chin (the remote that is!),means it now works from about 10....
Mark.L

to 15 feet!....

Hmmmm........
Mark.L

a wiff of poo poo is in the air but it does work and did Clarkson no harm - he was always like that.
John Ponting

It works fine, and is not dangerous !!!

I just tried this in the carpark at work, it works! Unless you count the strange looks from my collegues, I haven't experienced any weird side-effects!
