MG MGF Technical - MG TF wheels fit 2000 MGF?
Dear all, Seen some 16" TF wheels with tyres, will these fit staright onto a 2000 F ? Cheers.
Simon Andrews
Yes no problem.

Cheers David.

Simon, the only other consideration is whether you're likely to want to fit the Trophy/TF160 brake discs & calipers - the multispoke-style wheels permit you to fit the larger discs & 4-pot calipers, however the other 16" rims don't have quite enough clearance.

Humm, I remember having read in this section the multispoke wheels dont' allow to fit the 305 mm discs and AP 4 pistons callipers, the eleven spokes wheels yes... (both Trophy and TF styles)... Could anybody confirm this?
Spinder00
The only OE wheels that will natively accommodate the larger AP callipers are the Trophy, TF160 and Ultra-Lightweight eleven-spoke wheels. I have heard that the multispokes can accommodate the larger AP callipers by using a spacer to move the wheel out slightly, but I'm not sure how this would affect handling etc. More info on Rob's site: http://www.mgf.ultimatemg.com/group2/suspension/wheel_options_for_the_mgf.htm

OK maybe I should have been more specific, by multispoke I meant the 11-spoke... sorry if I confused anyone
Mike Hankin
Spinder, Ian's quite right: you can get the multispoke wheel to fit over the AP racing brakes - just - at a squeeze, using spacers and judicious use of an angle grinder on the caliper (or so I've been told!)
