Have you tried shouting at it:-)

Seriously:- known problems include damage to wiring loom where it goes from the engine bay to the boot lid, faulty door look, mobile phone left in car or external source such as a micro-wave oven sending rogue signals.

There are other reasons as well.

Andy.

As Ted says check the wiring loom on your left hand boot lid hinge, a known problem is these wires which go to your boot lock and light etc can snap or expose bare wires, leading to alarm problems!!.

Also are your interior lights coming on, going off ok??.
The switch for the interior lights is not a pin type one like other cars, but is built in to the door lock via a micro switch, again this switch can cause alarm problems if faulty!.

Also it could be your interior Volumetric sensor (under T-bar), the best way to check this is to lock your car with the key, NOT the remote.
Locking with the key will arm the alarm system as normal but will not turn on the volumetric sensor, if your alarm then works ok, then you know its this that is faulty!!.

hi the interior lights work ok as when you lock the car they dim off as usual. also have already tried locking it by the keys and it makes no difference.I also did try this i opened the bonnet and the alarm switch/button i pushed down and activated the alarm and then let it go this should then in turn set the alarm off as it thinks the bonnet is being forced open and the alarm went off.

I'm no auto sparkie so when my F alarm started horning in the middle of the night I took it to the dealer. They replaced the rh door lock within 45 mins and the job was a good un for the next 2 years.

I repaired the rear loom where it breaks near the lh hinge when the radio started blowing fuses everyday and again the job was a good un.

I believe that more mid night alarms are caused my door lock that loom and more dead radios & clocks by loom wear than any other cause.

I think it might actually be the rh door lock as when your locking it you hear the central locking trying to lock in a few times by hearing clicking then it locks.
