MG MGF Technical - MGF Recall

I have a friend who has a 2 year old Mgf and she has just had her car recalled by MGR for Head Gasket problem??

She should have had a recall reference on the letter from MGR or Dealer.

Can you get it?

Not aware of a HGF recall either - although there was a technical service letter regarding a batch of cars a couple of years ago...

Dave - would certainly be interested in hearing more details on this.

I am getting a copy of it tommorow cos if it's true then i'm sending a copy of the letter along with the bill from having mine done a few months a go

She say's that it's not a recall not it's something she found on the watchdog website so i am searching that as we speak

Betcha it's that service notice of a batch of faulty gaskets back in 2001/2002... as found on every copy of the MG Rave disc that's floating around ;o)
