Have you considered the 'Cracked Sump' Thread below.

The other possible cause is if a cam seal is leaking. If the head was skimmed during the HG replacement then the cam seals would have been replace (hopefully). It's a bit difficult to diagnose because the seals are hidden behind the cam belt cover, an oil leak will find the lowest point and that is usually the sump plug.

just been to the garage mg rover they say it leaking from the rocker gasket cover. is the job easy then?
well i am pretty handy at the diy work ...

the head was not skimmed at the hg replacement

Further to my previous posts re my oil leak (cracked sump)
It started leaking badly again last night while girlfriend was driving to mine

I have taken timing belt cover off and its coming from the right cam shaft oil seal as far as i can see - well one wheel is dry and the other soaked in oil

whats this job like to do?? i'll prob get garage to do this but any ideas how long this takes etc
Would you get both seals changed while in there or leave non leaking one alone??

oil was spraying out from behind wheel and running down timing case and dripping onto sump and sump plug

its really pouring out now couldnt drive as it is so will have to tow to garage

why do these things always happen on bank holiday so cant get fixed til next week!!

Anyway just thought this might help with your problem
