MG MGF Technical - Oil Dip stick Bracket

Hi there..
Just wondering if anyone knows the part number for the bracket that holds the "Oil filler cap/dip-stick" thingy in the engine compartment.
Mine has broken twice and I need to get it replaced..

Has anyone else had this problem?

cheers

When I bought my 'F three years ago the dipstick bracket was split. I MIG-welded it and it has been OK since.

My dipstick tube broke at the bracket. I found out about it when I poured a litre of oil down the tube and it ended up all over my driveway :(

There is also an Oil Filler assembly which is a thin pipe with bracket attached. That is part number LQB 100136, costing £5.20 + VAT

Thanks a million guys..
Has anyone got a link to a diagram of the assembly itself?

Memo,

Can you send me your details again, my PC has been down at home and I have been unable to recover the drawings, however, I am up and running again now so i will try to sort it for you this evening.

the bracket, you mentioned, broke on my F after going round the Nurburing. Mike Satur fixed it with some cable ties - a little mod that actually provides support to an unbroken bracket too and would probably prevent it breaking in the first place.

Chris
Thanks a million.. Have it sorted now..
Looks like the filler just sits down on the pipe without any sort of seal?

Anyway, no leak, no problem.

Thanks again.
