MG MGF Technical - Over fuelling.
Any ideas what would make an early VVCi over fuel? I'm thinking air flow sensor?
DJT Todhunter
Can think of several reasons. Faulty temp sender to MEMS, faulty fuel pressure reg or leaking vacum line, dirt on one or several injectors, not closing injector are a few. Ignition side OK ?
Carl Blom
Yea the ignition is fine, just not running as it's running well rich!!
DJT Todhunter
Can I ask why you think it is running rich? Fuel Consumption / Sparks / Performance?
Neil H
../ Idle high ?
Dieter
almost always faulty brown sensor or dirty connector, often causes fan to run as well as rich running/idle high/difficult start when hot
Will Munns
How does this fit in with your previous thread about cut out ?
JonBaker
Also note that MEMS does not make use of an airflow meter, but rather relies on throttle position and manifold air pressure.
