MG MGF Technical - Rear Window Cleaner

Has anybody used the rear window cleaner?

How does it work?.

The reason i ask is my window is a little cloudy, and was about to order the proper cleaner, however in the past i have used T-cut to remove small scrathes on the plastic screen on my bike!.
Tried a small area with T-cut on the rear window, and made huge improvement!.

I know the amonia in T-cut softens the paint which then helps remove a thin layer, thus giving the shine, but does the window cleaner do the same thing?.

Or am i just a tight ar*e, Who wont buy the proper Stuff?.

Try Autoglym Super Resin polish - does the trick. A coating of rain-x thereafter helps water beading...

Get some Greygate polish, you don't need much and it works a treat, I bought some a while ago and it is brilliant! It will remove most scratches and cloudiness. I got mine from Brown & Gammons but I'm sure other places will stock it.

Meguirs also make a really good plastic polish based on self degrading solids in the polish. As you polish the cutting components get smaller and smaller so improving the degree of polish until the window is clear and shiny. You CAN actually feel the grit degrading as you polish.

Generally Greygate is the name which appears most on the MG bbs for rear screen, and it is very good. But personally I find it hard work and smell awful and can get equally good results from Mer polish with minimal effort.

But whether you get Autoglym, Meguirs, Mer, BMW rear screen polish or Greygate you will be better off than T-cut.

BMW to an excellent rear window polish, try a BMW dealer

Greygate, definitely. Cheap and does exactly what it says on the tin. Transformed my rear window.
