MG MGF Technical - RHS (Drivers) Electric Door Mirror needed

Hi All,
Does anyone have a spare or unwanted RHS Electric door mirror they want to get rid off? I'm after mostly the internal parts, in particular the centre shaft.
A friend of mine who has a 99 F anniversary edition, had caught the mirror going out of his garage and appears to have snapped it. It looks like the centre shaft has been broken off. (I haven't seen it as yet, but this is what he tells me)
He should be able to reuse the outside plastic parts but needs the inside replaced.

Your help with this would be appreciated.

Cheers

Funny that, I was going to advertise it on ebay, but if you are interested email me for details.

Hi! My nearside electric door mirror suffers from
similar problems, but the central shaft is still
intact, but the mirror does not return to its original
position. Are there any places that do internal parts
or do I need a new door mirror. Secondly, can the
repair or replacement be done DIY or do I need to
get my MG friendly garage to do it?

Sorry I can't help over Branko's problem, but any
advice would be appreciated.

Regards.

Jay, thanks for you email.

Bill, go to Dieters site, http://www.mgfcar.de/index.htm
In the LH column click on English (unless you are comfortable with reading German) and then again on the LH side search for Door Mirror.

it has lots of great info.

Cheers,
Branko.

Much easier is

Google: MGF Door Mirror

But I've only the manual mirror online and only three pictures of the motor assembly itself! Don't get confused with it seeing the images on site.

The electric mirror is IMO easier to dismantle.
Clip on mirror and the motor with some levers can be found just behind it.
Dieter

Hi! Dieter,

Thanks for the information. Bit puzzled by your
statement "the electric mirror is IMO easier to
dismantle" What does IMO mean?

Youy say it is a clip on mirror with the motor behind,
is the mirror easy to lever off or am I going to
break it!!!

Take an interest in all your "threads" when I get
get on my computer which my son hogs most of the
time, but always find what you say is interesting
and constructive.
