MG MGF Technical - slight worry

i have a slight worry.. my 98 vvc somtimes takes a couple of turns of the key to start. i was wondering if this is the start of a future problem that can be rectified now??
thanks in advance.
ps has any 1 had experience of paintless dent removal? i have 3 car park dents in d/s 3 quarter 2 in d/s front wing 1 in p/s front wing 1 on p/s sill? 1 on p/s 3quarter. damn euro boxes!!

Starting problems are typically worse than this and fall into the damp getting into the coils in wet windy weather or turning the key and hearing only a click.
I would recommend you replace your HT leads with a decent set of silcon ones though.

its seems fine think it needed a good blast.
on the subjuct of car park dinks iam a little worried.
because i have took it to 2 specialists and they say the dinks cannot be repaired by pdr and the whole side of the car needs to be repaired to match it in, because the panels on the mgf are inaccessable from behind!
any thoughts any1?

Re pain(t)less dent removal.

When the coucil lawn mower flung 2 stones at my car, denting the front and rear wing, they arranged for repair by this method. The chap removed both dents. The one on the rear wing was above the engine air vent and about 4 inches down from the boot line. He thought that he would have to remove the rear light to get at it but managed to do it without. They were both removed successfully. Unfortunately the car was written off 2 weeks later.

dent doctors do a good home call service...tested in auto express some years ago...locally franchised but try googling it.

alex

good news all dents have been removed .. its like a massive weight has been removed from my mind...
iam still having intermitant starting problems and have had the car recently serviced, the car is somtimes taking a few turns to start or the revs drop and pick up on starting, is this a sensor issue?
alex

Have you replaced the plug leads yet? The distributor cap can also give problems in the wet.
