MG MGF Technical - Spark plugs

I am tinking about fitting copper spark plugs, and then change them more often. Which ones would fit?

Has anybody made a recent list of elegible spark plugs?
It seems like the FAQ is a little bit old...

Go to $halfords and look up the Rover K-engined cars (214, 416 etc etc) the plugs are interchangeable.

Halfords in Sweden? Will, you need to read the posts a bit more carefully before answering!

I'm sure this has been mentioned before. Maybe a seach of the archives will reveal something.

not a perl programmer ;-)

the $ was deleberate, meaning "insert local halfords clone here" - see I did read it!

Oskar,

I have just fitted an NGK Iridium plug, part number BKR6EIX-11, and am very happy with the result.

Just one to add to your list. :-P

Hi all,
has been following advise from Rog P for the last 8 years regarding sparkplugs and it works fine.

Standard "cheap" copper NGK BKR6E.

Close to above ,but dual electrodes NGK BKR6EK

Platina version NGK PFRN-11

Whatever it say´s on the package, gap for 0,9mm.
It is possible that there are new derivates of the above nowadays with slightly changed markings.

Bought a package of BKR6E some years ago that will last until I am at the "home" and the "F" is in the hands of my daughter...

I can only speak about the the Iridium plugs I have, but I have left mine gapped as supplied, 1.1 and all seams well. Think it is due to the very fine electrode. Also NGK were saying you would risk damaging the said electrode.

Ah, OK Will I'll let you off!

You're right, I'm not a Perl programmer! Over the years I've used quite a few programming languages (RPGII, RPGIII, RPG/400, C, Assembler, OPL, ECMA Script, JavaScript, HTML, PROIV, PowerBuilder, etc.) but not Perl.
