MG MGF Technical - SRS Light
A glowing SRS light is becoming more of a permanent feature than an intermittent problem I have cleaned up the connectors under both seats with Electrolube, more than once. Any more clues before I pay for a new rotary coupler? |

If you take it to the dealer then they will testbook it and give you a proper diag. it will cost you though... |

Will, Hence a final appeal for help from here |

So no clues other than throwing money at it? |

My mom's rover had the same problem.Got it connected to a test book and the problem was solved.I heard some dealers taking the light bulbs off so the srs light is never on.If you get it sorted out make sure all the warning lights are on when you turn the igniton. |

IS the SRS fuse OK? It would appear from the diags that it is mounted on its own and is 5 amps. Fuse No 1 in the under dash fuse unit supplies the lamp but not the SRS Control Unit itself. This would presumably be so that failure of the SRS fuse would cause the SRS light to glow, indicating a fault. Perhaps a bad connection in the fuse unit? Wherever that is... Long shot.. Bruce |

Removed and tested the fuse this weekend. A guy at work had the problem with a Rover saloon and cleaned the connector from the rotary coupler. But I could not find it on the F |
