MG MGF Technical - stoneship on bonnet
Hello, During a meeting between MGF and MX5 and F****G motorcycle throws a lot of gravel on my bonnet. Has I have polish the car sunday I could count 6 stoneship impact (2 are quite important). I just ask my dealer for a corrective pen matching my color. Is it easy to use. Is the result really good and would it be pourer than with the stoenship ??? have you some tips on how to use those pens ??? maxime

Paint pens are ok but not for a large area. use the brush with very little paint on and go over and over it, if you put to much paint on you will end up with a blob in the hole which will be raised...

I found using a tooth pick as opposed to the brush much easier and it prevents you putting too much paint on the effected area.

Try this: Put a blob that covers the mark and is raised (Baically too much). Leave it and after a week. Use T-cut for Matallics and rub it down. Be carefull it run only on the chip until it is flat with the rest of the paint. I have done this on all my cars for years and most times you cannot even see where the chip was.
