MG MGF Technical - TF Exhaust mod
I know this has been covered in an archived thread, but I was wondering what the implications of using a TF135 with the exhaust solenoid disconnected (the 2nd pipe permanently live, rather than just open when over 4000 RPM? The sound is great, but am I risking any engine damage etc from doing this.

No you don't.

Thanks Dieter, and thanks for the site!

One of my (female) work colleagues has a TF 135. I've noticed that the left exhaust is black and the right one almost clean... which shows she must rarely exceed 4000 revs... . I have half a mind to go and disconnect the solenoid without telling her and then ask her "have you noticed a difference in your TF recently" :-) . Except I would look stupid on the company car park poking my nose under the boot of her car :-)))
Anthony Braham
Especially as the solonoid is nowhere near the bonnet - closer to the boot :-)
Darren
Er Darren - Anthony did say boot!!!!
Blue Pocket Rocket
I know, god knows why I read 'bonnet'. It seems I can type faster than read/think!
