MG MGF Technical - throttle body MKII : plastic or metal ?
| Hello, I have the famous high rev issue. One reason could be the sticky plastic throttle body... but was is still in plastic for the MGF MKII ? Regards, Anraud |

| I don't think so Arnaud. I am sure mine is the 52mm aluminium version. Sam |

| The 1.8 has an alloy 48mm one and the Trophy the 52mm. |

| Sorry Sam, you have a 48mm alloy one unless you've changed it :-) |
| David Clelland |
| Well there you go. Would it be worth fitting a 52mm one? Sam |

Arnaud, Sam, on my MKII, 2000, i was a plastic 48mm, now a 52mm alu. Works much better. The sticky throttle can be a lot of different problems, in my case, it was wrong timing. chers Kjeld |

For pureists, a metal SU throttle body can now be purchased from Burlen Feul Systems in Salisbury... :o) |
