MG MGF Technical - Window

When I raise the drivers window it gives a loud cracking noise when its around half way up.
Does anyone know what this is and what I need to do to fix it?

Cheers.
Shane

It sounds as if your window is jamming in its guides and needs re-aligning. Check this by having someone operate the switch while you attempt to assist the window to rise. If the noise is diminished or dissappears then this proves that it is jamming in the guides. They probably need adjusting.

There is a lot on re-alignment of windows in the archives.

Mine does that too. Must get round to sorting it!

In Shane's case I am pretty sure that it is down to a lack of common sense when driving in the wet.

Ah, that must be my problem too, then.
