MG TD TF 1500 - A Car to Smoke Your Brain
Fellas If you want something different check out the 1951 TD on ebay.com.au. There have been some engine conversions, this is the terror of all terrors to date, a case of "sit down, shut up and hang on". The power boosted brakes were nicely executed. Graeme

What a lovely little monster! Is a Holden 138 engine the same as North America's General Motors/Chevrolet OHV Stovebolt Six? That's really nice detailing - a hot-rod after my own heart. This link should work, I think: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Mg-Td-1951-Immaculate-/251380231410?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3a876decf2&_uhb=1

That looks great with wirewheels and cycle wings
R.T. Walsh
That's one sweet machine!

A good lesson to all of us that if you tart up a TD too much it starts to look like a kit car.

I see it as a case of "..another one bites the dust..". Please don't jump on me as a purist. It's just that the number of TDs is shrinking and I hate to see another get butchered. I wish that folks who like the looks of these cars would do it to replicas. Bud

Still a really nice car once the topple-over bar and headrests are done away with. - and my recently aquired disease makes my fever rise again; malignant superchargeritis. Prognosis pessima, five year probability of not purchasing a supercharger is now less than 10 % I believe. My trusty old -54 TF may eventually carry the burden of my disease - 4-7 psi loading pressure.........will my crankshaft stand up to it? regards, Jan

Love those rearview mirrors. wonder where they came from? They could stay in place while the windshield is in the flat position! Anyone know the source? Rich

Jan, I don't think the cranks are the problem. usually the pistons burn up. My crank broke but it was not because of the supercharger I have since found out. I too cannot get rid of the supercharge bug. it is still with me. If you find a cure, let me know..

It made it to the remuddled page. http://www.mg-cars.org.uk/mgtd/mgtd_remuddled.htm Enough said!
