MG TD TF 1500 - Another little bit of progress on TD 4139

I got the grill installed in the radiator surround and got the surround on the radiator.

The factory added this on early in production, but I didn't want to take any chances of dinging it.

Tomorrow the front fenders will be installed.

This will about finish my restoration efforts for the Summer. I have to go back to Wisconsin for 4 months to do upkeep on our home back there.

The TD will get put in my carcoon and will be awaiting my return.

The right fender is now on and it fits really well. I put the rear fenders and the running board on a few weeks back. I tightened those down, fully expecting to have to loosen them when I put on the front fender.

I was pleasantly surprized to find the front fender fit perfectly. All the bolt holes aligned and the fender/running board edge is spot on.

It is going fast, but still will have a delay before the interior is in.

Hood is on, got one light bar on (awaiting the other side radiator/headlight bracket from the chromer. I missed one in the original order I sent.

It’s a shame with the momentum of your recent progress that it will grind to a halt for several months. Speaking from personal experience with dads car it can be hard to get back in the groove after a long a hiatus. But you’ll have the motivation upon your return. Great job Bruce !
