Looks like it was a great day for a drive LaVerne. Fun to be with other like minded folks. 11,000+ elevation, now that's getting up there. Side note: heading up to Rich's with the transmission today and will let you know what we find. John |

LaVerne, You have a beautiful place to travel all around you. My wifes sister lives in the Springs and we go as much as possible. I hope we can drive the TD there next summer. Rob |

For those not familiar with Colorado, Red Mountain Pass is driving literally "on the edge". There is about zero shoulder with big time dropoffs. But people take horse trailers and trucks over it, and the snow plow drivers in the winter are very nervy to take that job. The motto is "guard rails are for wusses." |
